Wings to Learn Empowering children – Human Rights Education

Wings to Learn Empowering children focuses on how music can be used as a tool in Human Rights Education for holistic human development. The full development of character through music/music education by understanding who we are according to the mentioned links between ancient Eastern and Western traditions. This education will contribute to being able to solve problems from our daily activities by adopting the right consciousness according to our true identities.

To be human means more than survival on a material level. The essence of humanity is in the connection that we share with all beings on the spiritual level. By addressing both material and spiritual development we can cultivate essential aspects of an individual’s overall development. Goes above and beyond to provide our learners with an empowering environment, offering them the opportunity to create and mold their own unique experiences through our wide range of activities where they can fully embrace their identity and gain all the skills they need to be leaders tomorrow. We see the true power that every individual holds, and we have made it our mission to transform them into natural-born leaders, ready to take on the world.

Solidarity Concert

During the peak of the pandemic, an extraordinary melody of love and hope emerged, the Rainbow of Endless Love album. Internationally renowned flautist/composer, researcher, innovator, philanthropist, Dr. De La Calle, composed and performed melodies that were recorded and released worldwide by Sony Music International Japan, in November 2020. The songs were inspired by the Gita Govinda, a famous collection of Sanskrit lyrical poetries inspired by the soul’s love, in the eastern tradition.

The solidarity concert continues this journey of musical innovation by performing the ensembles of the Rainbow of Endless Love album in a novel setting with musicians from the UN Symphony Orchestra. Dr. De La Calle will perform as the principal soloist playing the De La Calle Quena FluteTM, along with a chambera orchestra conducted by Juan David Molano. The music arrangements and compositions for the orchestral performance will be prepared by Dr. De La Calle and Prof. Jorge Grossman, Director of Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble (New York). The concert will include performances by children from the International School of Geneva. The musical ensemble will be a unique and novel fusion of musical styles and instruments from Latin American, Indian, and European cultures (classical, jazz, and pop/rock).

The proceeds from this concert will go toward educational and social aid projects in collaboration with Food for Life Global.
